We often repair laptops and phones for our friends from other repair shop. This time we were repairing an excellent Acer gaming laptop for our friends from the repair shop in Christchurch: Predator Helios 300 PH315-51-54ED. This laptop has damaged the motherboard. It’s hard to say exactly what caused the damage – it could have been hardware overheating or charging current issues – but we noticed that the laptop was dusty inside. Remember to check the temperatures in your laptop regularly – especially in a gaming laptop – as hot temperatures can severely damage your laptop.

You should think about cleaning your laptop from the inside and putting a new thermal grease on the CPU and GPU. This is much cheaper than repairing a damaged motherboard later.
