Today is the day of repairing Microsoft consoles. We earlier replaced the damaged HDMI port on the Xbox Series X, and now we’ve also replaced the HDMI port and additionally cleaned the console inside out of dust. The owner of this console seems to be a fan of the local football team: Bournemouth FC.

There was a large amount of dust inside the console which made it difficult to cool the console properly. This can lead to overheating and damage to the motherboard and hard drive. Remember to regularly service your console so that it serves you long and trouble-free.

Microsoft Xbox Series X is one of the most beautiful consoles on the market. The build quality is at the highest level. But as with older-gen consoles, if you yank the HDMI cable plugged into the console, you can damage the fragile HDMI port.

This is what happened in this case. The HDMI port has been completely destroyed. I’m surprised the port hasn’t been torn from the motherboard. Fortunately, the soldering pads on the motherboard were not damaged and after replacing the HDMI port, the console works like new again.

Huawei P20 Pro – Rear glass glued with Super Glue

It came to our repair shop Huawei P20 Pro with a glued back glass by Super Glue. Never, EVER use Super Glue to repair your phone. Cyanoacrylate (which is the main ingredient in Super Glue) is overly aggressive and can damage the plastic parts inside the phone as well as damage the battery which can cause an explosion. This time it was done without major damage and apart from the slight damage to the plastics, nothing serious happened.

Medion is a slightly underrated brand in the UK. Their Erazer P7643 laptop is really well-equipped. Intel i5 or i7 6th generation processors as well as nVidia GeForce GTX950M graphics cards are installed on board. Additionally, the installed high-speed SSD plus HDD with high capacity makes working and playing on this laptop a pure pleasure. Our repair shop has received this model with a damaged motherboard after contact with the liquid. After replacing a few damaged components, the laptop works like new again.
